Masked metallers Slipknot have pulled the plug on their appearances at the Reading and Leeds Festivals this weekend, after stick-man Joey Jordison broke his ankle. Jordison has been advised to rest for four to six weeks – putting him in the clear for the band’s Australian tour.
It appears this isn’t a band content to whack a garish mask on a replacement drummer and pretend like nothing is amiss. Either that or Jordison is irreplaceable. Whatever the reasoning, there’ll be no Slipknot love for the hordes at Reading and Leeds. They’ll just have to content themselves with the likes of Metallica, Rage Against The Machine, The Killers and Bloc Party. See the full line-up HERE.
