Bill O' Reilly takes on "vile"Nas
Tue 29th Jul, 2008 in International News
Last week, hip hop antagonist Nas protested outside the Fox television studios, accusing the station of racism. Unsurprisingly, conservative anchor Bill O’ Reilly has responded by calling Nas “vile” and a hypocrite. In the – œReality Check’ segment on his TV show, O’ Reilly accuses “that guy” of “peddling the N-word and violent lyrics to his target audience of children and young adults”. Any media outlet that gave Nas’ protest coverage is, quite simply, “corrupt”.
The host is also convinced that Nas organised the rally solely to drum up publicity for his new album, Untitled. Never mind that Untitled has been doing good business on the Billboard Charts in the US, taking the number one spot on its week of release. O’Reilly calls the album “a bomb, a disaster, a catastrophe” that failed to match its predecessor’s big sales. “I hope I’m not a racist for pointing that out…”
Now watch it for yourself – and for your computer’s safety please keep all projectiles out of reach.
