Having both come off triumphant Australian tours, Modular stars Cut Copy and The Presets are pooling their powers to take on the USA. The bands set out on a co-headline circuit of North American venues in September, spreading the word on their respective new albums.
The Cutters lads have already handily found themselves in Pitchfork’s pocket, playing at the website’s Chicago festival last weekend to much gushing. The Presets, in turn, have been gradually chipping away at the US market, although they’ve enjoyed the most traction in Europe and the UK. On the strength of In Ghost Colours and Apocalypso, we wager this will be the tour that sees both acts win over Uncle Sam. The cross-country adventure begins at the Monolith Festival in Red Rocks, before snaking from Kansas to Seattle. Go get ‘em boys.
