Rehab for Rolling Stone

Ronnie Wood, guitarist for The Rolling Stones, has entered rehab for the seventh time. A spokesperson told BBC News Wood is confronting his alcohol issues. The 61-year-old and his younger girlfriend have reportedly been holidaying at Wood’s Irish mansion, where he was downing two bottles of vodka a day.
“Following Ronnie’s continued battle with alcohol he has entered a period of rehab,” the spokesperson relayed to BBC. “His close family and friends say he is seeking help and look forward to his recovery.” Wood’s hell-raising ways are well documented – perhaps typified by the medical operation to repair his cocaine-damaged nose in the 1970s. His drug of choice, though, has largely been booze. In 1990 he was told to give up drinking or he’d be dead in six months. So much for that…
