Psychedelic rave-rockers Primal Scream are still hard at it. Having just headlined Scotland’s T In The Park, the band is unveiling its ninth album this month – featuring collaborations with Josh Homme and Lovefoxxx.
This outing goes by the name of Beautiful Future, and features 11 tracks of signature Primal Scream weirdness. The guest appearances are intriguing to say the least – where else can you find the voices of CSS and Queens of the Stone Age on one album? Also on board are Linda Thompson and Björn Yttling of Peter Bjorn and John. To help usher in the Future, Primal Scream is playing a bunch of festival dates, including Japan’s Fuji Rock.
