Johnny Rotten sued for assault

Head Sex Pistol Johnny Rotten has been sued by his ex-assistant Roxane Davis for allegedly “beat[ing] the crap out of” her. The lawsuit comes just as the band is kicking off its mammoth world tour.

According to TMZ.com, the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court claims “the Sex Pistols singer allegedly beat the crap out of a female assistant after calling her every horrible name in the book after the taping of a television show in 2007.” The Rotten behaviour was sparked by a problem with the singer’s Ritz Carlton suite, with Davis bearing the brunt of the abuse. Rotten is said to have “cocked back his fist…and punched her in the face.”

It’s uncertain whether Rotten’s (alleged) cockheadedness will disrupt the Sex Pistols on their comeback trail. We await an update…
