Just ‘cause it’s a 22+-hour plane trip away doesn’t mean we’re going to stop talking about the Mighty Boosh festival. Especially now the legendary Jarvis Cocker has been confirmed for a DJ set.
While a live show would be a tad more exciting (and costly), the former Pulp man is sure to have a knockout record collection. There’s also some perversely cool about taking an iconic vocalist and limiting him to a pair of turntables. As previously reported, the music and comedy bash will also feature live performances from The Kills, Gary Numan and The Charlatans.
Noel Fielding is planning to have a warble with Numan, too. “I’m going to try and do a duet with Gary. That would be a dream,” he told The Sun. “Julian [Barratt] loves him too and would be well up for it.”
The Mighty Boosh festival will be making us all insanely jealous on 5 July at Hop Farm in Kent.
