When Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt announced plans for a Mighty Boosh festival in the UK, there was idle chatter around FasterLouder HQ about who might play. Well, now we know…

Prolific Madchester icons The Charlatans will headline the ‘Monkey Hell’ stage, alongside custodians of cool The Kills, Gary Numan, Polar Bear, White Denim and Peaches (spinning records, not singing). There are more bands to come, of course, but the ‘Velvet Onion’ comedy stage looks equally enticing. The Mighty Booshers have rounded up Ross Noble, Frankie Boyle, Josie Long, Robin Ince (the guy Ricky Gervais tortured on his Politics tour) and Simon Munnery to provide the larfs. Consider us jealous.

The festival happens at Hop Farm in Kent on 5 July.
