Don’t we just love an inter-band dust-up! Luke Pritchard, chief troublemaker of the Kooks, has told The Daily Mirror in the UK that his group’s rivalry with the Arctic Monkeys has resulted in a boot to the face of Alex Turner.

“We have had a weird relationship with the Arctics since we first met,” he told the paper. “I had to kick Alex in the face after he tried to pull the leads out of my guitar pedals while we were on stage.” Hear that – he had to kick Alex Turner in the face. No choice in the matter.

“I tried to patch things up with Alex recently but he just turned his back and walked away,” Pritchard added. “I suppose they are quite arrogant.” Or perhaps unreceptive to kicks in the head?
