Archetypal angsters The Cure will release their belated 13th studio album on 13 September 2008, with a new single released on the 13th of every month leading up to that date. Got that?
The first single, The Only One, arrives on 13 May, with Freakshow following in June. No details have yet been revealed on the subsequent pre-September offerings. All this regimented releasing coincides with The Cure’s exhaustive tour of America, including dates at the colossal Sasquatch! Festival and Madison Square Gardens.
The Cure’s last studio effort was in 2004, with its follow-up originally slated for last year. Here’s hoping the extra gestation period has paid off.
