Radiohead go carbon-free onConan
Wed 23rd Apr, 2008 in International News
The eco-mission of Thom Yorke and co. continues in earnest this week, with the band set to play a “green performance” tonight on Late Night With Conan – œO Brien.
Instead of flying all the way to the US to play a single song, Radiohead will perform House Of Cards via satellite from their London studio. Yorke has pointed out that hopping a plane to the NBC Studio would leave a carbon footprint equivalent to driving a car for a whole year. Their performance is part of NBC’s – œGreen Week’, in which the network is promoting environmentally conscious programming.
Check this space tomorrow for the YouTube video of Radiohead on Late Night. In the meantime, here’s a totally rad clip of the guys playing Creep for Conan in 1993.
