Not only are the Mighty Boosh boys good for a chuckle; they’re also keen entrepreneurs. The comic team has announced plans for an open-air festival in Kent, England, with a load of “comedians and bands” providing the entertainment.
In a message to the Boosh mailing list, Noel and Julian share their grand plan. “Here at the Boosh we are always trying to think of new things to do,” the email begins. “We like going to the countryside, we like bands, we like comedy, but how can we combine them all in one fun day out?”
The answer, of course, is a boutique summer festival on Saturday 5 July at the Hop Farm in Kent, with an expected turnout of 30,000. No acts have been announced as yet, but it’s fair to assume there’ll be no shortage of Boosh “friends” itching to don a sequined jumpsuit and get silly. FasterLouder will keep you updated…
