Despite recently entering rehab and cancelling his Velvet Revolver commitments in Australia, Scott Weiland is set to join his fellow Stone Temple Pilots for their ‘debut’ reunion show at America’s Rock on the Range festival.

This will be the first STP gig in over seven years. The group announced their intentions to re-form last month, sparking speculation about the future of Weiland’s other project Velvet Revolver. That band’s scheduled Australian tour was cancelled at the last minute – to “allow lead singer Scott Weiland to continue treatment at a rehab facility, which he voluntarily entered after the band’s February 6 performance in Los Angeles.”

The other acts confirmed for Rock on the Range have that distinct Americana feel: Kid Rock, Disturbed, 3 Doors Down, Staind, Papa Roach, Seether, Flyleaf, Shinedown, Serj Tankian, the Filter, Killswitch Engage and Finger Eleven. Pass me a Bud.
