Peruse the Big Day Out diary of FasterLouder’s very own Sarah Smith and it’s clear Billy Bragg was a standout on the national tour. Now the legendary songwriter is releasing an album of 12 new songs – his first in six years.
Entitled Mr. Love & Justice, the LP is Bragg’s debut for Epitath’s Anti- imprint. It’s slated for a late April release. The activist’s last record, 2002’s English, Half English was his last on Warner Music-owned Elektra Records.
Here’s the Mr. Love & Justice tracklist to mull over. Recognise any names from Big Day Out?
I Keep Faith
I Almost Killed You
M for Me
The Beach Is Free
Sing Their Souls Back Home
You Make Me Brave

And here’s a brief glimpse of Billy Bragg owning the stage at Sydney BDO.
