2008 may well be the year of the reunion tour, with confirmation that American rockers Stone Temple Pilots are getting back together.

The reunion has been rumoured for some time now, with singer Scott Weiland making it official at a recent solo gig in Florida. Since Stone Temple Pilots disbanded in 2003, Weiland has been busying himself in super-group Velvet Revolver. Another member of that rock star love-in, Slash, echoed the news of STP’s revival in an interview with Billboard.com.

Weiland and his once-again-bandmates will be playing a summer reunion tour in the US.

i'm still in love with that 3hr DVD that accompanied the best of they released upon disbanding. I still haven't seen this, I'd really like to though.

Yeah that dvd is good hey, love the clip to Big Bang Baby and Weiland in his lime green pants it's full of GOLD! i dig the festival set where he looks like his head is gunna burst from all the "effort" (i.e. drugs) shit the man can dance too.
