The legendary Thurston Moore, singer and songwriter for Sonic Youth, is expanding into skin flicks.

Moore has written the soundtrack to an erotic movie unsubtly (and perhaps ironically?) titled Extra Action and Extra Hardcore. It’s not really private-booth fare, though, taking a distinctly arthouse slant. Director Richard Kern has collaborated with Sonic Youth in the past, on their videos for Death Valley 69 and Scooter and Jinx.

The official word on the film is that its subjects are “unpretentious, unadorned, and definitely undressed real women” who “roll around and do something interesting for a few minutes.”
