Soul revisionist Jamie Lidell will follow up his much-revered 2005 album Multiply with the unfussily-titled Jim. And you only have to wait till late April!
The new LP, to be released through Warp, is preceded by a press release that reveals little. “Jamie is Jim. Let’s clear that up straight away,” it reads. Fair enough.
Here’s a clip that’s been floating round the internet, showing Lidell and band rehearsing a toe-tapping new song. Let’s hope a tour isn’t too far off.
