As The Black Crowes prepare to release their first new album in 7 years ( Warpaint ) on the 4th of March 2008, they have also made some adjustments to their line-up.

Joining the Robinson Brothers, drummer Steve Gorman and bassist Sven Pipien will be Luther Dickinson (North Mississippi Allstars) on guitar and Adam Macdougall will be the new keyboard player.

Luther had been invited to record with the band on the new album and it was just announced in late November that Luther would be joining the Crowes on this upcoming tour. This is an added bonus to anyone who has heard Luther play and bound to add some true fire to the mix of the Black Crowes’ music.

The Black Crowes will be playing seven shows in the US in early March where they will play the new release in its entirety on stage and then play an additional set afterwards. As soon as the band completes these shows they head to Australia to play at the East Coast Blues and Roots Festival in Byron before hitting a number of Australian cities for the first time since 1991.
