After his less-than-competent sets on the 2006 Parklife tour, we weren’t holding very high hopes for the DJ career of former New Order bassist Peter Hook. Now a video has turned up that reveals the ol’ boy has been pretend-DJing all along.

The clip, taken during Hook’s ‘performance’ on the MTV Free Your Mind stage at 2006’s Exit Festival, seems like a legit DJ set (without headphones, mind you!) – until the camera zooms in on the man’s hands during a mix. It’s blatantly obvious he’s just twiddling away to a pre-recorded set. Full marks for looking busy, though!
