Serj Tankian gears up for solorelease

Serj Tankian, the voice of System of a Down is primed to release his debut solo album Elect the Dead. Anticipation for the new album is high since Tankian’s appearance at the recent MTV VMAs in Vegas with none other than the Foo Fighters for support.

Tankian’s debut solo album, Elect the Dead will be released on October 27 and the first single, Empty Walls, hits radio/TV next week.
Tankian will also join the Foo Fighters overseas for a series of European dates beginning November 3 in Manchester, England.
Tankian produced Elect the Dead and played most of the instruments featured on the album, though he was joined by guest drummers John Dolmayan (SOAD) and Brian “Brain” Mantia (Guns n’ Roses, Primus).
