Horsell Common's exclusive newtrack

Horsell Common have been one of the hardest working bands in Australia over the last five years. In that time, they’ve released three EPs, a 7” single and a split EP with their best friends Trial Kennedy. They’ve also played over 300 shows including national tours with Karnivool, Kisschasy and Grinspoon, and had a lot of support from Triple J and Rage for their efforts.

On September 29, all that hard work will finally pay itself off with the release of the band’s debut album, The Rescue. The follow-up to 2006’s highly successful Satellite Wonderland EP (which reached number one on the Australian Independent Charts and stayed in the top 10 for over six months) is an incredible progression for the Melbourne three-piece.

Mixing the experimental riffage of Muse, soaring pop melodies of Silverchair and the raw aggression of Pavement and Nirvana, Horsell Common have finally come into their own on their debut and will make their mark of Australia’s up and coming music scene with the sheer passion of the bands music. Keeping with the creative spark, Horsell Common have also recently posted a remix of their single Good From Afar on their myspace. Check it out at www.myspace.com/horsellcommon.

Help is On its Way is track four on The Rescue and is streaming here exclusively on FasterLouder to give readers a taste of the album to come. You can pre-order The Rescue online at www.jbhifionline.com.au and get a free copy of the band’s now out of print 7” from 2004.
