Supergrass bassist breaks back

Supergrass bassist Mick Quinn has broken his back after sleepwalking through a first floor window at a villa in France.
Surgeons in France have reportedly stabilised Quinn, operating on two broken vertebrae and a damaged ankle. The band have cancelled all dates of their upcoming homecoming tour as the bed-ridden bassist recovers.
Billboard.com published a statement from the band’s lead singer Gaz Coombes, who in pure Coombes style seemed unfazed by the matter. “We hope the crazy fool gets back on his feet as soon as possible,” he said. “I’m sure he’ll make a full recovery; he’s a tough cookie”.
We’re hoping that he makes a full recovery soon as the band have a new album due in 08 and rumours have been running wild that they will be chuffing on out to Oz in the near future.
