Flamingo Crash take on Japan!

Brisbane’s Flamingo Crash is set to take on Japan!

With their highly anticipated debut album Triangle Island barely at the mastering suite, the band were tracked down by Japan’s Vinyl Junkie Records after they heard first single – œToys/Shoot the Lights Out’. And now the album Triangle Island has just been unleashed in Japan.

Triangle Island is bound to be one of the 2007’s most dynamic releases, merging old ideas with new consequences, spiky guitars and silky synths, and ecstasy with melancholy as if they had been living together as far as you can remember; songs about a place where the city kids worry about snakes, and the country kids worry about the cities.

With two successful EP’s under their belt, the band this year embarked on producing their debut long-player Triangle Island with ARIA Award winning producer Magoo. The combination brewed some serious sonic magic.

Following the Japanese release, the album is slated for release in Australia this October.

The Crash, as they are affectionately known, has also gone through a line-up change in the lead up to the album release. Sydney guitarist, Troy O’Shea, is now on board after the band farewelled multi-instrumentalist Thomas Baxter and has now settled on a permanent four piece line-up.

Flamingo Crash will hit the road for a series of shows both in Australia and in Japan in the coming months to give fans a taste of the new album.
