All-star musical cast lines upfor Bob Dylan flick

Eddie Vedder, Sonic Youth, Antony & The Johnsons, Jack Johnson, Cat Power, The Black Keys, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs* and many many more… Yep that’s right, they’ve all lined up to offer their musical services for a film based on the life and times of the one and only Bob Dylan.

I’m Not There was written and directed by Todd Haynes and is due to hit the silver screens in November. It’s a biographical film that depicts six different stages of Dylan’s life and he’ll be played by six different actors; Marcus Carl Franklin, Ben Whishaw, Heath Ledger, Christian Bale, Richard Gere and… umm… Cate Blanchett Apparently. Odd casting choices or not, it’s surely to be lapped up by music lovers across the world and the soundtrack will be released in late October.
