Hot Chip hook up withKraftwerk

You might have caught them at the Splendour in the Grass festival just gone, now comes the news that indie/electronica popsters Hot Chip are remixing one of the big grand daddies of electronic music Kraftwerk.

The German pioneers will be releasing their new singles Aerodynamik and La Forme from the 2003 album Tour De France in September, and both tracks have been remixed by members of Hot Chip – Aerodynamik has been reworked by Alexis Taylor and Joe Goddard while La Forme has been looked at by Al Doyle and Felix Martin.

“What makes Kraftwerk brilliant is the combination of fascinating textures and sounds, simplicity and efficiency in production, and a habit of writing beautiful melodies,” ” Goddard told NME.

The single will be available on limited edition 12-inch vinyl, along with CD and download.
