The month rolls on and Ed Kuepper and Jeffrey Wegener’s series of gigs – see the FasterLouder story here if you’re not yet up to speed – have been met with rapturous audience reaction. But the pair have some more surprises in store: they’re to be joined onstage at their Sydney and Melbourne shows by Peter Oxley of the Sunnyboys.

Oxley – after just one acoustic rehearsal – jumped onstage at Sydney’s Vanguard recently for a whip through Ed’s tunes La Di Doh, Electrical Storm, The Way I Made You Feel and Everything I’ve Got Belongs To You, amongst others. The show was only the second time Oxley’s been onstage since the 1991 Sunnyboys reunion, the other being in 1998 at Mushroom Records’ 25th anniversary concert in Melbourne.

Though they’ve never performed before, Kuepper and Oxley have a mutual respect for each others’ work, and are thrilled to expand the duo to a trio. Expect some memorable gigs – and if you haven’t been along yet, get a move on!
