IS JAY Z’S MAGNA CARTA ONE OF THE 50 WORST THINGS IN MUSIC 2013?

Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme has labeled rap mogul Jay Z “a kook” during a candid interview with CBC Radio 2 ’s “Strombo Show”.

Only a few weeks after playing Jay Z’s Made In America Festival, Homme has revealed that his band felt out-of-place on the commercially-skewed lineup and called out Hova’s heavy-handed security. “That guy’s a kook, you know,” Homme said. “He has his security frisking the bands on the way in. I just told them if you open up my bag I’m not playing so I guess it’s up to you whether we are playing or not … The idea they frisked all my guys, means you’re in some different place, no-one has ever done that [to me]”.

Later on in the interview Homme also admitted he felt the rap star was being disingenuous when he offered them a bottle of bubbly. “He also gave us some champagne and wanted us to take a photo with it,” Homme recalled. “And I thought that’s not a gift that is a marketing tool. So I destroyed it. Because I thought it was rude overall. And you shouldn’t frisk my guys, you should fuck off.”

Jay Z launched the “Budwesier” Made In America Festival in 2012 as a “a way to bring together music and culture.” This year’s diverse lineup included Beyonce, Public Enemy, Nine Inch Nails, Pearl Jam and Skrillex.

I think it's interesting that this article has over 180,000 views but not a single comment. Maybe Jay-Z has his illuminati pals censoring any negative feedback

Jay Z has a song talking about how he shot his brother and used to sell his mum drugs. If you can hang out with the president after writing and recording a confession like that then the man deserves a complimentary slap on his own booty for bossin so hard.

@ nos235 : sorry to retaliate but, considering the 1st post you made, your comments are a proof that jay-z has some not-so-upright followers ("follower" not taken in a bad way, since i'm a follower of j. homme).
you shouldn't have the muted voting. what sir homme did is exactly what europeans see as the best part of us mentality. not so the win-loos'ing of life, but rather a sense of liberty and fairness.
liberty : because he was so right in refusing an abusively securitarian checking (aforementioned hova are not sworn in police officers).
fairness : since he cares for a certain independance of
* the artist (he, not pledging somebody's w
hiskey)
* the artists : they are not animals.
