Kings Of Leon bring MechanicalBull to Australia

The Kings Of Leon are travelling out to Australia on Monday November 18 to play a single show at Sydney Harbour exclusively for fans who win tickets being given away through Channel [V] and Triple M.

The new Kings Of Leon album Mechanical Bull will be out on Friday September 20, and that same day Channel [V] will begin touring an actual mechanical bull around the country that you can ride for a chance to win tickets to the show. They’ll be giving one double pass away to the best bull-rider in each of Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. At the end of the month more tickets will be given away, presumably in a different way that also relates to the band’s music (perhaps pigeons will crap them into people’s mouths).

Mechanical Bull is Kings Of Leon’s sixth album, and will feature this year’s singles Supersoaker’ and ‘Wait For Me’. Last week they debuted several more songs from the album on BBC 1, and also played a cover of ‘Dancing On My Own’ by Robyn while they were at it. Apparently the album’s lyrical highlight is ‘Comeback Story’, which features the lines “I walk a mile in your shoes/And now I’m a mile away and I’ve got your shoes.”
