Listen to Dave Grohl'scollaboration with Slipknot'sCorey Taylor

‘From Can to Can’t’, the collaboration between Dave Grohl and Slipknot / Stone Sour leader Corey Taylor has premiered on the BBC and made its way online.

The track, which also features Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen and Kyuss bassist Scott Reeder, is the second song from the Sound City sessions to be unveiled following the debut of ‘Cut Me Some Slack’ at the recent 12-12-12 concert in New York. ‘Cut Me Some Slack’ features Paul McCartney playing with the remaining members of Nirvana – Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear. Novoselic has described the song as a cross between The Beatles’ ‘Helter Skelter’ and Nirvana’s ‘Scentless Apprentice’.

Grohl will be playing a show at the Sundance Film Festival to coincide with the premiere the ‘Sound City’ documentary on Friday, January 18 with a lineup featuring Taylor, Nielsen, Creedence Clearwater Revival’s John Fogerty; The Jayhawks violinist Jessy Greene; Queens of the Stone Age’s Chris Goss and Alain Johannes; Foo Fighters Taylor Hawkins, Rami Jaffe, Chris Shiflett, Nate Mendel and Pat Smear; Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks; Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic; Rick Springfield; Fear’s Lee Ving; and Rage Against the Machine drummer Brad Wilk.

A slightly different lineup of the “supergroup” will also play a show in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Palladium on January 31. The LA show will feature appearances from Nicks and Fogerty, and the band will include Springfield, Novoselic, Nielsen, Wilk, Ving, Johannes, and Goss plus Robert Levon Been and Peter Hayes of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and the Foo Fighters.
