Liam Gallagher names ‘new’band

Liam Gallagher and his Oasis bandmates Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock will now be known as Beady Eye.

The group is recording an album with producer Steve Lillywhite (The Rolling Stones, U2) and planing to release a debut single in October.

Liam had been quoted after Oasis broke up as saying “If we don’t come up with something else by the time we’re ready to release the album it’ll be Oasis. I’m not going to call myself something ridiculous just for the sake of it.”

i have my doubts on this as a whole though, liams voice is a bit of a fail these days.

I thought Liam's voice on the last Oasis album was better than on the three previous albums. Compared to the first few albums though you are definitely correct.

MIRAGE

You think it's (an) Oasis but when you look closer you find that it's clearly missing a crucial component!

i was more talking about his live voice than anything, just going by the more recent live clips ive seen lately.

hadn't really thought about it like that though but you're definitely right, a track like lyla compared to the shock of the lightning, lyla is far croakier. he says himself hes cleaned up his smoking and drinking, maybe his voice will just keep getting clearer.

Cover looks very Beatlesque... surprise, surprise!

Beady Eye sounds silly...

Well, the big question is whether this will suck or whether it will really suck.

the single is floating around the web I think it's available from the official website. I must say, I really like it, I'm sure that comes as no suprise to some, but it genuinely sounds nothing like oasis, give it a listen!

I gave bring the light a listen and I must say I wasn't too impressed. It was ok and I'm going to reserve final judgement till I can hear a better quality version and maybe some more of the album.

It was just a bit boring. It didn't strike me the way some of those classic Liam songs from the last two albums did. I still think they can produce some good work but this song didn't get my hopes too high.

Classic? Liam? Last two albums?
Have I woken up in Bizarro World again?

Liam didn't right any songs up until their 4th album.

I really liked the last two Oasis albums.

I like Oasis a lot. They would be classic to me, the Oasis fan.

You may have woken up in Bizarro World, I don't know where you live.

If this is the case, remember, Bizarro Superman is weakened by blue kryptonite, not green.
