More Massive Attack materialon the way
Wed 3rd Feb, 2010 in Local News
The Massive Attack love continues to overflow, with the iconic UK group announcing today that they’ll be releasing an EP of new material around May of this year. And this is still days before their latest proper full length, Heliogoland, is due for release itself – by the way, you can listen to the whole thing on our sister site inthemix.
As reported by NME, Massive Attack will follow up Heliogoland with a new EP, stacked out with tunes that didn’t make the album as well as some new ones they hope to record between now and then.
“We’ve got this one… which we wrote with Guy [Garvey of Elbow, who features throughout the album], which we’ve been playing live for two years and we still can’t finish it,” the group’s 3D said. “That’s obviously one of the tracks we’re looking at trying to finish.”
Massive Attack tour dates:
Fri Mar 12 – Perth, Kings Park
Mon Mar 15 – Sydney, Opera House Forecourt
Tue Mar 16 – Sydney, Opera House Forecourt (second show!)
Fri Mar 19 – Canberra, Royal Theatre
Sat Mar 20 – Melbourne, Sidney Myer Music Bowl
Sun Mar 21 – Adelaide, Entertainment Centre
