Fans of heavy alternative music will love this. The highly respected local outfit NUCLEUS is hitting the stage at @newtown on Friday, 11th November. For those of you who have been asleep at the wheel, or over your beer, and have not yet checked out this band, theirs is melodic, heavy riffed music that is more than just a series of songs, it’s a musical experience. It could be said it’s an emotional journey that both the band and the listener embark on. Dreamy, inspiring, adventurous, and emotionally liberating.

The night starts with TauNiCate, a pop rock band of considerable substance. To be followed by Sanctus Deus, a new, fresh, eclectic industrial/funk metal band that got everyone moshing at their first gig in the Metro’s Transit Lounge the other night. Then it’s the alternative heavy rockers Open 6 with their big & complex music, heavy feel and relentless energy. Next it all gets passionate and steamy with Baldielox’s devine vocals and hard hitting riffs. The evening will be capped off by those super dreamers cum time travellers cum space explorers Nucleus. Quite a musical journey!

The night starts early, 7pm, and it costs only $12 or $10 if you are a student. Cheap considering it’s a ticket to places you have never been before. Even Virgin airlines would charge a lot more.
