Description:

Sydney Writers’ Festival throws out the seating and brings you to your feet in a literary musical mash up at the Oxford Art Factory. Join DBC Pierre, author of Vernon God Little, as he reads from his latest book Lights Out in Wonderland. Grab a drink and get ready to ask the notorious bad boy of literature anything you want to know.

DBC Pierre, famed for winning the Man Booker Prize with his darkly comic and prophetic debut novel Vernon God Little, is equally renowned for his history of drug-fuelled decadence, debts and alleged fraud, and has reportedly said “I can’t guarantee that I’ll behave any better than the worst example I cite in the book”

Gareth Liddiard has spent the last ten years based in Melbourne and North East Victoria, where he has led the universally critically acclaimed band the Drones. Busy with the almost constant touring the band demands, it has not been until recently that he’s found the time to release his much anticipated solo album.
