Grand Atlantic has just returned from an extensive 15-date tour of the US and Canada, including SXSW and Canadian Music Week. The tour was extremely well received, with positive press and good crowds (especially LA at the Viper Room and the two shows in NYC), culminating in a standing-room only performance at the Aussie BBQ showcase at SXSW in Austin.
Before then, the band will be doing a three-city residency through May, taking in Brisbane on Tuesday nights (Troubadour), Melbourne on Wednesday nights (Workers Club) and Sydney on Thursday nights (Lansdowne) – these will be the last Australian shows before they leave for a Japan tour in late June/early July. It’s an opportunity to see the band in more intimate surroundings and to discover exactly what it is that overseas audiences are loving about Grand Atlantic.
