Melbourne based duo MOJORISING are packing their bags and taking their unique funk rock sound to the States. But first, they are swinging by New South Wales to say goodbye.

MOJORISING have spent the last few months experimenting with samplers, backing tracks, key boards and effects pedals, to create the biggest, funkiest, riff driven sound humanly possible with two people. The self-proclaimed ‘beat scientists’ are not afraid to ignore standard musical physics and concoct a sound that is derivative of so many genres.

Their debut EP Feel What You Feel released earlier this year has raised a few eyebrows and moved a few hips around their hometown of Melbourne. Majoring in onstage chemistry, JJ and Dan are packing venues multiple times a week and undoubtedly making their mark. Hometown advantage aside, tracks off their EP have been picked up by radio in North America and Europe and have been declared personal favourites by Sydney’s Triple M producer, Ugly Phil.

The move to LA has been on the cards since MOJORISING got serious about their career in music. Increased interest from industry people in LA forced the date to be brought forward. But, they aren’t expecting it to be a walk in the park- "Honestly, we are expecting it to be tough in LA. We are not expecting just to turn up and ‘make it’. We’ll work harder and take our sound and live performances to the next level. It can only make us better musicians" says JJ.

Luckily, there are a couple more chances to see MOJORISING’s captivating live show. It would be a shame to miss out because who knows how long it will be before they return.
