Jarvis Cocker first came to prominence as one of the major movers and shakers of Brit-pop, and during the course of a musicial career that now spans over 3 decades (and counting) he has lost none of his renowned suave, swagger and wit.
Most famously ruling Cool Britannia as Pulp’s enigmatic lead singer and songwriter, he has now established himself as a solo artist with the release of two classic albums.
Cocker most recently toured Australia as part of the 2007 V Festival line-up, winning over the crowds his witty, charismastic delivery and high quality musical performances.
In May this year, Cocker released his 2nd solo album Further Complications (Rough Trade/Remote Control). Spin magazine saluted the 11-track offering: ‘this collection of surging and reeling tunes is the former Pulp frontman’s strongest since Different Class’.
