Powderfinger and Silverchair fans have thrown their full weight behind the band’s Across the Great Divide tour with tix to teh Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brissie shows selling out in 30 mins. Promoters have added second dates to the tour to cope with demand.
Performing in locations as distant and diverse as Darwin and Hobart, Cairns and Mildura, Toowoomba and Bendigo, Powderfinger and Silverchair fans in Brisbane have had a 2nd show added at the Entertainment Centre on Saturday, 1 September, in Sydney at ACER Arena on Sunday, 9 September, at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Wednesday, 19 September, at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Thursday, 27 September and at Wollongong’s WIN Entertainment Centre on Wednesday, 24 October.
Powderfinger’s latest single I Don’t Remember hits radio today and is expected to get strong airplay. Their new album also Dream Days at the Hotel Existence has already reached Platinum sales.
Reflections of a Sound, the second single from Silverchair’s #1 album Young Modern, will be released digitally on Saturday July 14. The track is bundled with live versions of Straight Lines and Mind Reader from the group’s Carriageworks Album Launch.
