So Brazil in “A night in Rio”
Sounds, traditions and aromas from “The Marvelous City”
After a fully booked presentation last year, So Brazil presents at Kulcha its new concert, “A night in Rio”. The performance is inspired by Santa Teresa, a traditional suburb in Rio de Janeiro, also known as “The Marvelous City”, with its
hills, charming streets, old houses and cultural mix.
In this new concert, Juliana Areias and Jose Henrique Alves will fuse traditional Brazilian rhythms with well-known songs from the Brazilian 80’s Rock Movement and the International pop-rock repertoire. So Brazil’s unique interpretation of songs like “Diz que fui por aí” e “Linha de passe” will provide the perfect soundtrack, transporting the audience to the atmosphere of the streets of Santa Tereza, where music from all genres can be heard.
Juliana and Jose Henrique have also invited the percussionists Ricky and Rafa Gonçalves to join forces for the gig at Kulcha.
