Playing in pubs in Australia since she was 16, Jess soon attracted rave reviews for her emotive and energetic performances and melodic hook-laden indie/pop tunes.
Since relocating to Melbourne in 1999, Jess has played a heap of well-received gigs, toured with Ani DiFranco and The Waifs, and released two further EPs Four Short Stories (2001) which garnered Triple J and Rage airplay, and her limited, numbered edition CD Light Wait in late 2002.
Other supports include New Zealand’s Brooke Fraser, Ember Swift (CAN), Clare Bowditch and the Feeding Set, Pete Murray, Kate Ceberano, Tim Rogers and Tex Perkins.
Her latest album Into the Dark, which has received rave reviews was recorded with ARIA Award-winner Marty Brown (Clare Bowditch, Art of Fighting) and was released to a sold-out audience at the Northcote Social Club in Melbourne and a sold-out audience in Sydney at the Hopetoun Hotel.
This is one performance not to be missed as part of Melbourne Music, 2010!
