Fresh from a massive Sydney show featuring stars of the 2010 Mardi Gras parade, the Brisneyland Revue makes its way ever southward to the sticky depths of old Melbourne town.
On Saturday 3rd of April, burlesque’s perverted clown Miss Bertie Page hosts an evening of bands and burlesque, featuring some of Brisbane’s finest talent alongside the cream of Melbourne’s underground scene. The night will see a lineup of sweet and tasty treats baked into a pastry of rock hard hard rock.
The crunchy lineup of bands includes Melbourne’s own Dead River Deeps and Voodoo Economic as well as Brisbane’s John Meyer, Bertie Page Clinic and Clint Morrow, while Brisbane beauty Red Devotchkin leads a burlesque bill that features locals Miss Nic and Lux St Sin. The Brisneyland Revue is like a delicious apple pie, oozing sweet, viscous syrup from a crusty edge. All this for the meagre sum of $10; doors open at 8.
