On the night of Saturday March 13, Melbourne’s freshest sounding indie-rock group The Box Rockets are hitting Fitzroy’s freshest new venue, ‘The Revellers Bar North’ (ex-Laundry) to shake the floorboards with their danceable grooves, triumphant choruses and punk spontaneity. In the past few months The Box Rockets have shared stages with Little Red, The Vasco Era, Hungry Kids of Hungary and Boy & Bear, and have been receiving glowing reviews of both their live shows and their debut EP ‘Throwing Stones.’ Their show at Revellers Bar North is your last opportunity to catch their own headline gig before they return to the studio to lay down new material for their mid-year single release. Melbourne’s own blues quartet The Messengers will be firing up the room beforehand with a shot of hypnotic boogie-woogie blues, while kicking things off are the local lads of emotive, alternative indie rock, En Tout Cas. Tickets are $8, and doors open at 8.30pm.
