In their 7 years of abuse, Melbourne’s Clagg have molded their blackened Iommic influences & love affair of the brown into a monolithic beast of epic Doom Metal. Numerous lineup changes fuelled by excessive substance abuse has seen the Clagg beast evolve into it’s most potent and hostile current existence. What better timing then for the band, in the dead of winter to unleash their eagerly anticipated 3rd studio release onto the doomed masses. The SunnO))) drenched album, titled ‘Lord of the Deep’ sees the bands most sophisticated leap forward into the depths of Electric Wizard / Eyehategod styled Doom / Sludge. The album will be launched on Friday 10th July at The Tote Hotel in Collingwood. Also playing on the night will be the punishing heavy rock of The Blacklist, Riff merchants Downriver and Wino worshippers Dire Fate. What’s more – a copy of the new Clagg album will be given away FREE to all payers on the night so put down the bong, raise the Doom Claw and get ready for the riff!
