The latest chart sensation to cause a stir in the UK is a young chap going by the name Sam Sparro. Based in LA, Sam was actually born and bred in Australia, and his debut single ‘Black And Gold’ has been doing massive things for both underground and mainstream audiences.
A bit like a one-man Scissor Sisters show – but nowhere near as camp – in the UK he reached the #2 spot on the charts, and throughout summer will be playing massive European festivals like Glastonbury, Wireless, Global Gathering and V Festival.
Presented by the Good Vibrations Festival (an early hint of who we might see on next year’s tour?), in July Sparro will visit Australia for an exclusive promotional tour, playing intimate shows in Sydney and Melbourne.
His ‘future funk’ live show comes highly recommended, hyped up by the cream of UK media like The Guardian, BBC and NME. Tickets for the promotional tour go on sale June 10th.
