Description:
It has been a busy past 12 months for Byron Bay’s answer to rock The Black Stars who have been writing and recording their debut album ‘Elementary’ at Blackbox studios in Brisbane with iconic Australian producer Magoo. Although yet to be released, the album has been creating pre-release industry buzz for those who have been lucky enough to sneak preview a listen with reports that the band has come up with something pretty special. The album is currently being mastered and is expected to be released around October 2010.
In the lead up to the album release The Black Stars are playing a run of shows up and down the East Coast including a show at Ric’s in The Valley on the 23rd of April. The Stars will be supported by eclectic Brisbane songsters The Friken Hecks who have recently enlisted Brindle’s Simon Walker on drums.
Doors are at 9:00 and entry is free!
