Village Fair has a 30 year tradition and attracts current and past students as well as hundreds of members of the general public.
This year, through a blend of circus, market stalls, community artists, local performers, live bands & DJ’s, Village Fair is aiming to get back to its roots of a ‘fair’ while continuing with its latest tradition of being the largest music festival west of the mountains showcasing some of Australia’s supreme acts. Staged at the base of the iconic Mount Panorama, the winning combination of a fair atmosphere with the raw energy coming from crowds of music lovers makes for an unforgettable experience.
Village Fair will deliver a new concept in 2008, combining the traditional music festival for the regular punters with a fresh community focus.
This means the site will be segregated into 2 main areas.
One: 18+, alcohol permitted pre-purchased ticketed area a.k.a. The Fair Site. Starting from 2pm.
The Fair Site will feature a Main Stage, a Dance Tent, a Chill Out Area, Beer Tents, food stalls, alternative entertainment and plenty more.
Two: A Free ALL AGES, no alcohol area a.k.a. The Community Markets Site. From 11am – 3pm.
The Community Markets Site will be open for FREE to all and any persons with a FREE Community Stage featuring some of the best local talent this side of the Mountains. There will also be an alley of stall vendors, rides, food, and roving performers throughout.
