Trip hop impresario Tricky – aka Adrian Thaws – makes his long-awaited come-back in 2008, with a brand new album ‘Knowle West Boy’ scheduled for release this August. It’s his ninth studio LP and is preceded by the single ‘Council Estate’ in July.
Heading to Australia for an east coast tour to support its release, Tricky will play Byron Bay’s sold out Splendour In The Grass festival as well as exclusive headline shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
Starting his career as a member of the Wild Bunch (who later became Massive Attack), Tricky hit the big-time in 1995 with his seminal debut album ‘Maxinquaye’. Revered by many in the music scene, Tricky has since gone on to pursue a celebrated solo career, as well work with artists as diverse as Tool, Bjork, Goldfrapp and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
