Riding high on the freewheeling success of their recently released Cease To Begin album, Band of Horses return to Australia this August for a series of east coast shows.
Having deservedly experienced a somewhat rapid ascent via their raggedly epic 2006 record, Everything All The Time, Band of Horses have delivered a passionate & confident follow-up in Cease To Begin, this time embracing flourishes of country & southern rock (they are South Carolina natives after all!) into their sparkling, dreamy and evocative songs.
Cease To Begin has also very much allowed the band to shed all the obvious comparisons that were made around the first album (The Shins, My Morning Jacket, The Flaming Lips) & what we have now is a very self-assured group making some of the most cathartic, exuberant & exciting rock music anywhere in the world.
