After blowing away Australian crowds in 2006 while sharing the stage with Less Then Jake, US punk/hardcore act A WILHELM SCREAM has finally made time in their relentless international touring schedule for an Australian headline visit.
With three acclaimed albums already under their belt, it’s about time that this established and admired rock outfit made their way to our shores on their own two feet. This time they come bearing a gift; their forth full-length studio album, ‘Career Suicide’.
A WILHELM SCREAM find their home at Nitro Records (founded by Dexter Holland of punk-rock legends The Offspring) alongside some of the worlds most loved groups, including A.F.I, Guttermouth, Rufio, The Vandals and our own Bodyjar. To continue the name-dropping, the band’s touring repertoire includes shows with Rise Against, Strung Out, Lagwagon and they are currently on the road with US punks The Unseen!
‘Career Suicide’ has been described as “Fast. Very, very fast”, speeding up the band’s proven formula to a neck-breaking pace. The album was recorded at The Blasting Room in Colarado with the successful producer/engineer combination of Bill Stevenson and Jason Livermore. The opening track from ‘Career Suicide’ puts A WILHELM SCREAM’s attitude and charisma into just one line, ‘I Wipe My Ass With Showbiz’. ‘Career Suicide’ is available now through Nitro / Stomp.
You will not want to miss this chance to see history in the making with A WILHELM SCREAM’s first ever Australian headline tour, taking in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Hobart and Perth.
