After keeping Australian fans waiting for more than 10 years, Finnish power metal band Nightwish will be heading our way for the first time this summer.
Riding the wave of new album Dark Passion Play, the five-piece band will touch down in late January and tour Fremantle, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
Nightwish burst onto the melodic metal scene back in 1997 when debut album Angels Fall First defined the band’s sound with its mix of dominant keyboards, orchestral arrangements and haunting, seductive vocals. And 10 years on Dark Passion Play is a return to form, with new vocalist Anette Olzon at the helm for the first time.
