Missed out on Falls and Pyramid, but still need a dose of live rock this New Years? Where else would you head but the Espy?
The full bill of acts to bring in the New Year will be released soon – but the first two acts to soundtrack the countdown to the countdown have been announced.
At 15 years young, Spiderbait’s six albums have sold nearly 500,000 copies, but more importantly Spiderbait remain a blistering live proposition. With Kram flailing at his drums, Janet resolutely slamming her bass and Whitt coaxing out waves of noise from his guitar they’ll bring in the New Year at the Espy.
They’ll be joined by relative new comers Little Red who have harmonised their way to major success in 2008 with their debut Listen to Little Red and appearances at nearly every music festival in the country.
There are plenty more acts to be announced – but it looks like the Espy is set to launch 2009 quite nicely.
